of this autobiographical book was published in 1983.
It tells of the author’s long and outstanding
association with the organ, as performer and adviser,
both in Britain and the United States. From his first
contact with the instrument, in 1913, it moves
through many projects, culminating with the Royal Festival
Hall organ and ending with the instrument in St David’s
Hall, Cardiff, inaugurated by Ralph Downes on 6 November
1982. This title is now available again in a new paperback
edition. |
